Question 1

What is a short-term rental?

Accepted Answer

A short-term rental (STR) is a fully furnished property available for a limited duration, typically ranging from a few days to a few weeks. In Wilmington, for instance, STRs are defined as stays of 29 days or less. These properties, often listed on platforms like Airbnb and VRBO, offer a flexible and profitable alternative to traditional hotels for both owners and guests.

Question 2

Are short-term rentals profitable?

Accepted Answer

Short-term rentals can be highly profitable when managed effectively. With the potential for higher nightly rates compared to long-term leases, STRs often generate a better return on investment. However, they require more effort to manage due to frequent guest turnovers, cleaning, and communication. Partnering with Navigate Rentals ensures your property’s profitability while minimizing your workload.
