Most of this site is our own: our homes, photos, guides and writing. Some of it comes from other sources, and we credit and link them wherever it appears. This page explains what we use and how to ask us to correct or remove something.

Event listings

The Local Guide and our home pages list upcoming local events. Some come from public calendar feeds that their publishers offer for anyone to subscribe to, such as What's Up CB; others we write ourselves from organizers' and towns' official sites. We show only basic facts (the event's name, date, time and place), credit the source and link to the publisher's own event page. We don't copy event descriptions or photos.

Events can change or be canceled. Please confirm details with the organizer before you go. Listing an event doesn't mean the organizer endorses us, or that we endorse or are affiliated with the event.

Places and maps

Restaurants, shops and other places in the Local Guide are our own picks plus results from Google Maps, shown with Google's attribution and links to each place on Google Maps. Ratings and details are Google's and may change. Our home maps use map data from OpenStreetMap contributors, displayed with OpenFreeMap.

Photos

Home and lifestyle photos are ours. A few area photos are from Unsplash, used under the Unsplash License.

Tides, weather and sun times

Tide predictions come from NOAA and forecasts from the National Weather Service. Sunrise and sunset times are calculated. They're provided for convenience only; always check official sources and local conditions before heading out on the water.

Guest reviews

Reviews are quoted from our guests' public reviews of our homes on Airbnb, shown with the guest's first name and last initial.

Corrections and removal requests

If you publish something that appears here and you'd like it corrected, credited differently or removed, or you believe something on this site infringes your copyright, email us at inbox@navigaterentals.com with "Content request" in the subject. Please include:

• The page address (URL) and what on it you're asking about.
• For copyright: a description of the work you own (or are authorized to act for), and a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized.
• Your name and how to reach you.

We review requests promptly, usually within two business days, and will remove or correct content while we look into it when that's appropriate. If you publish a calendar feed we use and would like us to stop, tell us and we'll remove it from the site.
